I’ve been totally floored by some germ all week (it feels like a truck backed up over my head and parked on my face) so I’m going to have to make this kind of brief but those of you in the San Francisco area should definitely get hip to Dr. Sketchy’s, because there just aren’t enough opportunities in life to get boozed up and draw sizzlin’ hot burlesque gals!
Hosted by the fabulous Jessica Whiteside (a saucy minx in her own right and a true Renaissance woman — artist and burlesque performer), Dr. Sketchy’s is a free event in which you show up with the art materials of your choice and settle in with a nice beverage while you are treated to the kind of models you only dreamed about in art school. Where is this all happening? At 111 Minna (conveniently located at 111 Minna St. in SF for those of you with short term memory issues) and to help inspire you, the current exhibition on display is a swell collection titled “Pin It Up Babycakes!”
