Something ultra groovy turned up in the mail today: the 3D Art Book!
4 years in the making, this juicy tome does just what it says — presents a heap of art printed up in that “am I drunk?” blue/red offset, and comes with two sets of 3D glasses (so you can enjoy it with a friend).
Tristan Eaton and Thunderdog Studios really slaved over this one, 100 pieces of art wait to leap out at your eyeballs. The press release says it contains “the world’s most esteemed young contemporary artists and designers” so maybe this is a good time to mention that I’m in this book.

The perfect soundtrack to listen to while you’re looking at The 3D Art Book (hey, worked for me) might be the new Beastie Boys album. The clean version of “Hot Sauce Committee Part 2” leaked, “So as a hostile and retaliatory measure with great hubris we are making the full explicit aka filthy dirty nasty version available for streaming on our site. About ten minutes after I got the 3D book in the mail I read that Poly Styrene from X-Ray Specs died, and she was way too young. There’s a nice write up here. “X-Ray Spex were about not trying to be like anybody else, but being yourself. High energy, youthful music, creativity.” The world is poorer without you, Poly.
